Sara Green

My name is Sara Green from Spring, Texas, and I began participating in the STPGA Little Linksters Junior Golf Program in 2016 at the age of 9. In my first year, she placed in the top 3 in 6/8 tournaments; 3 of those being 1st place. During my time in the Little Linksters program she had 12 first-place finishes, as well as over 27 top-five finishes at tournaments all across Southern Texas. This early success only deepened my love for golf and set the stage for my future endeavors.
I’ve been a member of the Grand Oaks High School golf team for four years and competed in the Varsity 13-6A District Tournament every year. I earned Newcomer of the Year Freshman Year, Honorable Mention All-District Golf 13-6A Junior Year, and was voted GO Golf Hall of Fame Senior Year.
Outside of high school golf, I also worked and volunteered in the golf industry. I work as a Golf Clinic Instructor and Junior Golf Camp Coach for Summit Golf School as well as a Tournament Coordinator/Starter for US Kids Golf. I also volunteered for ESPN+ as a Marshall/Ball Spotter/Microphone Operator at the LPGA Chevron Championship.
I will be graduating Summa Cum Laude in the top 4% of my class with a 5.0488 GPA. I am a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Rho Kappa and an AP Scholar. I was also in the Grand Oaks Marching Band for 2 years where I played the flute.
I will attend Baylor University and plan to major in business. I hope to continue golf by playing on the Baylor club golf team.
