Emily Garza

This is Emily’s 7th year as a golf player that gained the love for this sport through her grandfather. Emily is an active member of the National Honors Society and four-year varsity athlete in which she has gained the MVP award three years in a row. She began with the Kingwood Golf Advantage school and participated at the First Tee which helped her gain knowledge about the rules and etiquette of golf. She later gave back and assisted the coaches at the First Tee where she instilled the values she learned into the new generation. Emily has been participating in the STPGA for several years where it contributed to her growth in competitive golf. She led her high school team as the number one player to regionals two years in a row making history at Atascocita High School. She is a team player with leadership attributes in which she prides herself in showcasing through kindness and compassion on and off the golf course. Emily will be attending Texas A&M in the fall majoring in Biology on the Pre-Med track. She truly appreciates receiving the scholarship award that will greatly help relieve the financial burden and furthering her education.
