My name is Ashley Kim and I have been playing competitive golf since my sophomore year. I followed my dad to the golf course since I was a kid and the course became somewhere natural for me to be at. Then, as I joined my high school's varsity team, I became attached to the sport and fell in love with how there were so many life lessons in golf.  As I played golf, I developed a determination to achieve whatever goal I had on my mind. I wanted to give my best at everything I did including both golf and academics. While being the team captain at my school, I also explored other academic areas such as business where I qualified for the DECA international conference and took various AP classes. Now, I am planning to pursue another goal of earning an electrical & computer engineering degree at the University of Texas at Austin and developing my career as an engineer who will impact the world.
