William Whitaker

Will Whitaker, a senior at St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School, has

spent nearly 500 hours serving his local community, all while working as a

cashier at H-E-B grocery store, maintaining a 3.8 GPA and serving in various

leadership roles in school—National Honor Society Secretary, House

Leader and Co-Captain of the cross country team. The last four years, he

has mentored young golfers at the Onion Creek Country Club under the

direction of Texas State University beginning golf coach, Lonny Alexander.

In addition, Will currently represents nearly 600,000 4-H members as the

2nd Vice President of the Texas 4-H Council and District 10 President. He

has received numerous 4-H awards and honors, most notably the Gold Star

Award and first place in the 2018 State Food and Nutrition Record Book

competition. Will looks forward to majoring in sport management at Texas

A&M University and joining the Corps of Cadets in Fall 2019.
